01 — Proposal Generation & Acceptance (24–48 hours)
We assess your electric usage, roof space & orientation, and main panel rating (plus a look at recent bills) to design a right-sized system.
After you sign, we schedule your site inspection within 24–48 hours.
What helps speed this up
-
A copy of your latest utility bill
-
Any HOA guidelines you’re aware of
-
A preferred weekday/time window for the site visit
02 — Site Visit (~1 hour)
A trained site inspector documents roof conditions, electrical panel(s), and any subpanels (inside/outside the home or garage). We may peek at the attic, confirm rafter spacing, and review garage layout for battery/EV charger placement.
What we’ll do
-
Take photos/measurements for engineering
-
Verify main service panel capacity
-
Confirm placement for batteries and EV chargers (if included)
03 — System Design (1–2 days)
Our engineering team prepares your electrical and mechanical drawings for permitting. We’ll present the plans for your approval before submission.
If an electrical upgrade is needed, we’ll communicate it upfront—no surprises.
What you receive
-
Permit-ready engineered drawings
-
Clear, written scope (so… no change orders)
04 — Permits, Interconnection & HOA (~2–3 weeks)
After you approve the design, we submit permits to your local building department, interconnection to your utility, and handle HOA paperwork if applicable.
Permitting times vary by city/county/utility, but we typically see ~2–3 weeks. Your PM will keep you updated.
We handle
-
Permit applications & corrections
-
Utility interconnection submission
-
HOA documents and architectural review responses
05 — Installation (1–2 days)
Once permits are approved, we’ll schedule your install for your earliest convenient date and deliver materials to your home.
Most jobs take 1–2 days. During electrical tie-ins, power may be off for up to ~2 hours at a time.
What to expect from the crew
-
Professional, code-compliant installation
-
Daily cleanup & safety best practices
-
A friendly walk-through of what’s done and what’s next
06 — Inspection (same week as install, when available)
We schedule and host the building inspection. Your PM will notify you in advance; the appointment typically takes just a few hours once it’s on the calendar.
We’re there
-
To meet the inspector
-
To address any on-site questions
-
To close the loop quickly if a small recheck is requested
07 — Permit to Operate (PTO)
After a passed inspection, we upload results to your utility portal to process PTO (permission to energize your system). Your PM tracks progress and confirms when you’re officially “on.”
